Clifford Raymond Eddy, Sr.

Mr. Clifford Raymond Eddy, Sr. age 78, of Pittsburg, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2019 in Tyler, Texas. Mr. Eddy was born March 28, 1941 to Willie and Gracie Eddy in Red River Parish, Louisiana.

Mr. Eddy served in the United States Army, was an Offshore Pipeline Welder, a Mason and a member of the Baptist faith.  He loved his family, friends, fishing and the Saints.  He was proud of his time in the Army.  He played three years on the Fort Benning, Georgia football team.  They won the National Championship in 1962.

Mr. Eddy is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janice Eddy; one grandchild, Dylan Eddy; and a brother, Gerald Eddy.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Gregory Phillips Eddy and Clifford Raymond Eddy, Jr.; granddaughter, Jordan Barnes; three brothers, Jerry Eddy, Emmitt Eddy and Ronnie Eddy; and a sister, Laverne Wren.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday December 7, 2019 at the Reeves-McMillan Cemetery in Panola, County with Steve Bass officiating.

There will be a visitation held at the Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The family would like to thank the employees of the Veterans Administration Home Health Agency for the care they gave to Mr. Eddy.
