Bennie Jean Williams

Mrs. Bennie Williams, age 79, of Pittsburg, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2020 in Pittsburg. She was born September 7, 1940 to Amos and Ara Ward McCreary in Van Zandt County.

Mrs. Williams went to Nursing School at the Methodist Hospital in Oak Cliff and finished as a LVN, she was employed at the hospital when she met her husband Clem Williams and they married and moved to Pittsburg where she operated a Poodle Kennel until she was no longer able. She was a member of the Blodgett Church of Christ.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband Clem Williams, daughter; Teri Simmons and husband Johnny, grandchildren; Justin Simmons and wife Monica, Jeremiah Simmons, and Josi Simmons, sister; Ethel Kris Ware and husband Bill, and brothers; LW McCreary and wife Wanda, and sister in law Peggy.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, AW McCreary.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, March 2, 2020 at the Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Black and Johnny Simmons officiating with burial at the Blodgett Cemetery in Titus County. There will be a visitation held before the service beginning at 9:30 A.M. at the funeral home
