Brenda Carol (Allen) Irby

Mrs. Brenda Carol Irby, age 69, of Pittsburg, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022 in Pittsburg. She was born September 13, 1952 to George and Lucille Sikes Allen in Pittsburg.

She was retired from the Camp County Tax Assessor Collector Office where she enjoyed serving the people of Camp County and working with her deeply loved assistant Gale Burns. Brenda was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Pittsburg.

During our journey in this life we are sometimes challenged with obstacles, but her obstacle led her to an extended family at Texas Oncology in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Dr. Syead and all of the nurses and staff became healing hands, they will always be loved and cherished. Brenda’s wishes were to make things simple for everyone during this time, time to rejoice not mourn.

She is survived by her husband, Otis Doyle Irby; and her son, Brian Lance Irby, numerous nieces and nephews; and her best friend which she always called her sister Gale Burns.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Phillip Allen; and sister, Charlotte Twitty.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Macedonia Cemetery in Pittsburg with Bro. Kyle Smith officiating. There will be no visitation.
