Carolyn Nan Baker

Carolyn Nan Baker, 79, of Pittsburg, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at her home. A funeral service for Carolyn will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Erman Smith Funeral home with Brother Kevin Harris and Reverend Don Sides officiating, with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Erman Smith Funeral Home.

Carolyn was born on May 11, 1943 at Gilmer, Texas to Wallace C. and Annie Claire (Parker) Shrum. She and Howard Baker were married on August 26, 1967. She enjoyed FOX news and watching the Golden Girls, but most of all loved taking care of her family. She was also a lifelong member of the Church of the Nazarene.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Wallace and Annie Shrum, twin sister; Marilyn Shrum, son; John Mark Baker, and granddaughter TaShayla Baker.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 55 years, Howard, daughter; Elizabeth Sampson and husband Billy, grandchildren; Carleigh Baker, Cameron Barber and Quentin Hawkins, great-grandchildren Johnathan and Wayklee, brother; Larry Shrum and wife Mary.

Pallbearers will be Paul Mercer, Billy Sampson, Quentin Hawkins, Don Huskey, Todd Bush and Mike Lambert.
