Mr. Cody Butler age 54, of Pittsburg, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born May 22, 1967 in Ennis, Texas.
He was a Level 2 Loss Prevention Technician for Fire & Ems Rescue and part of the FEMA Emergency Response Team.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Peek Butler; daughters, Cheyanne Harris and husband Kassidy, and Cali Butler; granddaughter, Emeri Harris; parents, Billy and Conni Butler; sisters, Josette Wakefield, Tracy Childers and husband Chris, and Brandi Morris and husband Sam; brother, Coary Bruton; uncles, Bobby Butler and Tony Butler; aunt, Linda Kay Moffett; and brother-in-law and sister-in law, Chris Peek and wife Laura; mother-in-law, Janice Peek; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by three brothers, Billy Ray Butler, Jr., Ricky Von Butler, and Vincent Burl Butler, grandmother, Annie Ethelia Smith Butler-Moore; grandfather, Robert Avon Butler; nephew, Nick Morris; uncle, Joe Ed Butler, and father-in-law, Johnny Edward Peek.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg, with Rev. Patrick Lloyd officiating with interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Bruton, Justin Lee, Tyler Lowe, Glenn McFarland, Matt Ferrar, “Doc” Jeffery Burns, honorary pallbearers will be, Kassidy Harris, Gunner Morris, Tanner Morris, Jake Davis, Alex Peek, Coary Bruton, Bobby Butler, Tony Butler, Chris Peek, Garrett Allen and Jimmy Carver. There will be a visitation held before the service beginning at 9:30 A.M.
