Daisy Jewell (Smith) Pilgrim

Daisy Jewell Pilgrim, age 98, of Pittsburg, Texas passed away January 7, 2021. She was born September 28, 1922 to Ollie Richard Smith and Ivy Lisman Smith in Pittsburg, Texas.

Mrs. Pilgrim was a member of New Mine Baptist Church and a lifelong resident of Camp County, Texas. Until Retirement, she worked for Pittsburg Independent School District, as well as Pilgrim’s Pride.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Pilgrim and his wife Sue of New Mexico; grandchild, Wendy Jo Pilgrim Springer and her husband Robert; and great-grandchildren, Cassidy and Dylan Springer. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Loyd Jack Pilgrim; daughter, Glenda Mae Pilgrim George; and sister Mickey Kisner.

Graveside services for Mrs. Pilgrim will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Macedonia Cemetery in Pittsburg, Texas with Brother Tim Parker officiating. There will be a visitation prior to the service at Macedonia Cemetery.
