Emigdia Mendez-Perez

Funeral services for Emigdia Mendez-Perez, 81, of Pittsburg, will be at 3:00 p.m., Monday, March 6, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Pittsburg with Pastor Randel Trull and Hugo Alfaro officiating.  Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home.  Ms. Mendez-Perez passed away peacefully Thursday, March 2, 2023, at her residence.

Ms. Mendez-Perez was born August 5, 1941, in Veracruz, Mexico to Telesforo Mendez and Julia Perez Zavaleta.  She was a prayer warrior, loved the mission field, evangelism, singing, and loved serving people.

She is survived by her daughters, Ariana Morales and Dinorah Morales Barron; grandchildren, Kaydie and Daniela Barron; brother, Eleodoro, Pablo, Benito, and Reynaldo; sister, Maria Elena; additional family members, Hugo Alfaro and Nayeli Alfaro.

Ms. Mendez-Perez was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers will be Marshal Byrd, Paul Byrd, Carlos Amaya, Mauricio Mancilla, Rogelio Ramirez, Hugo Alfaro and Isidro Copado.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Erman Smith Funeral Home in Pittsburg.
