Joyce (Taylor) Hinson

Mrs. Joyce Hinson, age 85, of Pittsburg, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020 at her home with her loving family around her. Mrs. Hinson was born on November 10, 1934 to MJ and Velma Romines Taylor in Overton, Texas.

Mrs. Hinson was a retired School Counselor at Pittsburg High School and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pittsburg.

She is survived by her husband, Neal Hinson; daughters, Niki Warden and husband Darrell, and D’Ann Linwood; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Myrl McKellar and Sue Ellis and husband Asa; and a brother-in-law, Billy Hinson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law, Dr. Larry McKellar, and sister-in-law Judy Hinson.

There will be a time of visitation with the family held Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 5:30 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel.

Per the family’s request, mask will be required while in the funeral home.
