Obituary

Sandra (Dee) Sue Toney, 68, of Pittsburg, passed away on September 9, 2023, in a Pittsburg hospital. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home.  A memorial service will not be held at this time per family request.

She was born on August 1, 1955, in Toledo, Ohio, to Elonzo and Lillian (Pilcher) Lentz.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith.

Sandi is survived by her Husband, Gene Toney Jr; Son, Gene Toney III and wife, Tina; Daughter, Holly Toney; Grandchildren, Wesley Sparks, Ashton Ankney, and Lucas Toney; Brother, Keith (Barbara) Lentz and Ron (Delores) Nartker; and Sister, Evelyn Lesko.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elonzo and Lillian (Pilcher) Lentz.

No formal visitation is scheduled.

Gene and Sandi just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in August. Sandi wasn’t seen without her Cigarettes and Diet Coke. She loved her family and her crafts. She did cross stitching, jewelry, knitting, ceramics, woodwork, scrapbooking and candy and cake making. She loved collecting Santa Claus items and Boyd’s Stuffed Bears.
