Suzann (Sue) Hester Kellam, 85, of Pittsburg, was born April 3, 1937 in Pine, Texas to Alonzo Pilgrim and Gertrude Gunn Pilgrim and passed away in Pittsburg on November 6, 2022.
She had worked at the Hallsville Independent School, graduated from high school in Pittsburg and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pittsburg.
Mrs. Kellam is survived her son, Brent Hester of Longview; daughter, Carolyn Smith of Pittsburg; grandchildren, Kimberly Jamett, Laci Smith, Landry Hester, and Adysen Hester; great grandchildren, Elliana Jamett, Hannah Jamett, Luka Jamett,a nd Adela Jamett; numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ray Hester and Merrell Kellam; siblings, Harold Pilgrim, Calvin Pilgrim, Aubrey Pilgrim, Billy Carroll Pilgrim, Lonnie “Bo” Pilgrim, Betty Carolyn Pilgrim, Mary Kathryn Julian, and Margaret Nugent.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg with burial to follow at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the Hallsville Cemetery in Hallsville, Texas. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Rev. Kyle Smith and Ken Pilgrim will officiate the service, and pallbearers will be Marco Jamett, Kyle Nugent, Steve Hester, Greg Massey, Landry Hester, and Wayne Walker.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Breckenridge Village of Tyler or First Baptist Building fund in Pittsburg.
