Trevella Monk Obituary

Trevella Odelle Rogers Monk was born September 8, 1945 in Pittsburg, Texas to John Mason Rogers and Talmadge Odelle Barnwell Rogers and passed away at her home in Upshur County on October 29, 2021.

Trevella served her country as a Chief Petty Officer 1st Class in the Navy reserves. She worked at Lockheed Martin in Ft. Worth, Tx. from April 1987 until her retirement in April 2017. Trevella and her husband, Mr. James Monk, were married May 17, 1973 and were married 22 years until he passed away in 1995. She was of Baptist faith. She along with her husband were the owners of Monk’s Radiator Service in Gladewater, Texas from 1984 to 1996. Trevella’s favorite past time was spending time with her family, playing cards, or dominos, watching Perry Mason reruns and most of all loving on and spoiling her great granddaughters Navy and Sawyer. Trevella loved good, traditional country music and would tell you” if it wasn’t anything from the 80’s and back, it wasn’t country and western music!”.
