Obituary

Mr. Michael “Skinny” Shearin age 56 of Pittsburg passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021 in Mt. Pleasant. He was born February 8, 1965 to John and Jean Kelley Shearin in Grapevine, Texas.

He was a mechanic, and a truck driver, and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Shearin; children, Cody Wallace and wife Margie, Shonette Mathis and husband Bradis, and Emily Shearin; grandchildren, Brianna Wallace, Micheal Wallace, Cody Wallace, Eli Wallace, Caleb Wallace; sisters, Linda Kirkland and husband Scott, and Laura Coleman and husband William; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents John and Jean Kelley Shearin; and sister, Kathy Shearin Holley.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday September 23, 2021 at the Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg with James Wallace, Dr. William Christensen, and Bishop Ed Covey officiating. Interment will follow at Crossroads Cemetery in Pittsburg. Pallbearers will be Justin Tomlin, Matt Kirkland, Scott Kirkland, Larry Bowrey, Jimmy bowery, Ryan Holley, Jonathon Wallace, and Dakota Sullivan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bradis Mathis, Rex French, Larry Shrum, Andy Millican and his grandsons. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 9:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
